Good Friday: Traditional Easter Egg Decoration

The Hungarian House of New York organized a traditional Easter egg decorating workshop on Good Friday.

Dyeing and decorating eggs have a long history in the Hungarian tradition. Techniques and motifs show the same regional variety as Hungarian embroideries do.

The wax-resist egg dyeing technique was presented and thought according to the local tradition in Gyimes.
