About the event
50th Annual Hungarian Festival Warm Up event, Manhattan
The band plays Hungarian folk music primarily in a style that preserves traditions. Their repertoire includes music from Transylvania, Upper Hungary, Southern Hungary, and Little Hungary. In addition to playing together, Dűvő also collect and teach folk music.
Mit jelent a DŰVŐ? Azon túl, hogy egy salgótarjáni székhelyű zenekar.
A dűvő, ősi indogermán eredetű szó. Duo, two, zwei, dua. Kettőt jelent.
A magyar népzenében a muzsikusoknál, egyfajta játékmód.
Csárdásokat, verbunkokat, lassabb táncokat kísérnek dűvővel. A brácsás és bőgős játssza.
