About the event

Fresh from her Chain Film Festival film screening here in NYC, join us in viewing Edit Jakab's film, Deer Bell (Szarvasbőgés).  We will also engage in a conversation with the writer/director herself, Edit Jakab.

Written under the mentorship of director Béla Tarr,

This short documentary follows a day in the life of a rural Hungarian Roma family focusing on the children, who are raised by their grandparents. From morning until the sun goes down. And life goes on just the same.
