3rd Annual Spring Sneaker Ball

60th Anniversary Edition ~ #HuHaz60


You, your family, and friends are formally invited to our 3rd annual Spring Sneaker Ball, 60th Anniversary Edition. Hungarian musicians Horváth Duó and Tünde Csonka, will accompany us through the evening and showcase a special concert for our benefit dinner guests. The night will end-off with a lively sing-along and folk-dance house (táncház) for all with music by Holdvilág Band, from 10pm to 1am.


Program

7pm: Arrival, seating

7:15-8pm: Horváth Duó and Tunde Csonka concert "The Sensation of Spring" concert

8-9pm: Dinner, with ambient Hungarian café chansons

9-10pm: Mulatós zene, community sing-along, fundraising games and prizes (must be present to participate)

10:15 - 1am: Folk Dance House / Táncház (with Holdvilág band)

Becsinált chicken vegetable soup, Stefánia szelet (type of meatloaf), gazdagos francia saláta (potato vegetable salad), and vegyes rétes (assortment of strudel)

About Csonka Tünde,

Tunde Csonka is a former member of the Győr National Theater but also played in the Madách Theater and the Vígszínház in Budapest. She sang in the Children's Choir of the Hungarian State Opera House and graduated from Thebe International Theater Academy in 1996. In 2004, she received the Hungarian Radio's eMeRTon award for her leading role in the musical Miss Saigon. A versatile artist who played important operetta, musical and prose roles in Hungary, and regularly performs in American concerts, including performances of Les Miserables, West Side Story, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Hyppolit, a lakáj, Hello Dolly!, Hair, The Verona Boys, and Somewhere in Europe. In 2003, she founded the Nem-ÁRT! Skills development school in Budapest, which she led for 12 years.

Doors open for fundraiser dinner/concert at 6:30pm

This is a fundraiser event for AFHLE, Hungarian House. “AFHLE, Hungarian House is a 501(c)3, 509(a)2 non-profit public charity organization. The portion of your ticket that exceeds $40/adult (FMV), or $20/child is a donation that is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.”


Doors open for community sing-along + tánchaz ticket holders at 9:30pm

Tickets for this event are not tax-deductible.
