Leírás:

The melodies and rhythms set the mood in every musical work. But when these musical tools are repeated, they turn into images, characters, scenes and stories. In a special program by Liszt Prize-winning pianist Balázs Fülei, the stories weave into a chain. The visually powerful formulation of Brahms’ four ballads is interrupted by works by Schumann and Debussy as interludes, in which the flow of the story is disturbed by desires, visions – or by the playing of a brass band that breaks the imagination from one moment to the next. In the second half of the concert, among Liszt’s picture-book legends, we experience the story of a lonely sailor’s spiritual journey, closely linked to Bartók’s image of nature: the music of the night articulates how nature welcomes man. Behind the many stories, we finally find the common thread: life itself tells a story through sound.
